πΉ Format Overview
- Total Arrows: 30
- Ends: 10 ends of 3 arrows each
- Distance: 18 meters (or 20 yards)
- Target Face:
- Over Age 13: 40 cm 5-color FITA target
- Under Age 13: 60 cm 5-color FITA target
- Time Limit: 2 minutes per end
- Maximum Score: 300 points (30 arrows Γ 10 points each)
Each archer shoots at their own target. After each end (set of 3 arrows), archers walk forward to retrieve arrows.
π’ Scoring
Each ring is worth more points the closer it is to the center:
- White: 1β2 points
- Black: 3β4 points
- Blue: 5β6 points
- Red: 7β8 points
- Gold: 9β10 points
- The innermost gold ring is called the βXβ ring, often used for tie-breaking or bonus scoring for advanced shooters.
π― Alternate Target: βVegasβ 3-Spot Face
Advanced archers can use a 3-spot Vegas target (horizontal or vertical layout). You shoot one arrow per spot, which reduces arrow damage and improves scoring accuracy.
- Same scoring rings (5β10 points)
- BUT: Any shot outside the blue (6-point) ring = 0 points
This option is great for high-level accuracy β but riskier!
β±οΈ Rules & Commands
- 2-minute time limit per end
- Standard archery whistle commands are used
π§ Additional Notes
