Groups and Parties

In addition to our regular public classes, Pasadena Roving Archers (PRA) offers private archery sessions for groups interested in an introduction to archery. During this class we will teach your group about range safety and take you through your first shots. In the basis, our group classes are equivalent to our first-time archer classes.

Group classes take place on Saturdays between noon and 2:30PM and can accommodate up to 20 people. The cost of a group class is $200 (10 or fewer students) or $300 (11-20 students). All equipment for the group session is provided by PRA.

Group classes are subject to the availability of our volunteer coaches.

If you are interested in taking a group class at Pasadena Roving Archers, please email info@rovingarchers.com and make sure to include the following information:

  • Approximate size of your group
  • If it includes any minors (and their approximate age)
  • Three suggested dates (Saturdays) at least two months out. This will ensure we have the best chance accommodating your request.

Scouts
Our group sessions do not by default satisfy the requirements of any archery (merit) badge. If you intend for our group class to be part of an external curriculum, please, include in your request any and all external requirements. PRA will do its best to (together with scout leaders) formulate a plan towards these goals. However, we can not guarantee completion of any external requirements as part of a single group session.

Weather
Summer months (in particular July/August/September) can bring very high temperature to the Lower Arroyo. In winter, rain storm can soak our range, which is a flash-flood area. In case of these, or other adverse weather conditions, PRA will be forced to cancel group sessions for the safety of participants and volunteers. In such an event, we will try our best to reschedule your group session.
